Terms of service

The terms for using Corgy

Corgy turns screen recordings into narrated product demos. Using it - the website, the editor, the Mac app, the browser extension, the Corgy plugin for AI assistants or the MCP server - means you agree to these terms.

Who you are agreeing with

Corgy is a Stormkit project, run by Stormkit OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. "We" on this page means Stormkit OÜ.

Your account

  • You sign in with Google or an email link. An account is for one person, and you are responsible for what happens under it.
  • You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
  • Assistants act as you. When you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to Corgy, it works on your account with your permission: it edits your videos, spends your credits and, when asked, publishes. What it does there is treated as what you did. You can disconnect it at any time from the assistant's own settings.

What you record

Corgy records whatever is on the screen you choose, and cannot tell a public web page from somebody's private data. That makes you responsible for what is in your recordings. Record only what you have the right to record and show, and do not record other people's personal information without their permission.

Your videos are yours. You keep every right you have in what you record and upload. You give us permission to store, process and show it only as far as running Corgy for you needs: keeping the files, writing and voicing the narration, rendering exports and serving the pages you publish. We do not use your recordings to train any model, by us or for us.

Publishing

Publishing a demo puts it on a public page at corgy.ai. Anyone with the link can watch it, and published pages are listed for search engines. You can unpublish a demo at any time, which takes the page down.

Every published page has a link to report it. We take down a page that breaks these terms or the law, and we may do so without asking first.

What you may not do

  • Record, publish or narrate anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Use Corgy to impersonate a real person or company, or to make a demo that pretends to be something it is not in order to mislead people.
  • Use generated voices to imitate a real person's voice.
  • Publish other people's personal data, or anything meant to harass someone.
  • Try to get around credits, plan limits or the export mark, overload the service, or reach accounts and data that are not yours.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these.

Plans and credits

Corgy's AI features run on credits: writing the narration, voicing it, and planning a recording. Editing, re-cutting and exporting cost nothing. What each feature costs in credits is listed on the pricing table, and Corgy asks before an assistant spends them on a voiceover.

  • Free. 1,000 credits, once. Exports carry a small Corgy mark.
  • Monthly. $25 a month, billed in advance. Each paid month sets your balance to 20,000 credits. Unused credits do not carry over into the next month. Exports carry no mark.
  • Credits have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where they apply.
  • You can cancel from Billing in the app at any time. When the subscription ends, your account returns to the free plan and keeps its videos.
  • Payments are not refunded for a partial month, except where the law says they must be.
  • If the price or the monthly allowance changes, we will tell subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change reaches their next bill.

What the AI writes

Narration, voiceovers and plans are made by AI models and can be wrong: a feature described inaccurately, a label misread, a word mispronounced. Watch a demo before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish, including what the narration says.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Corgy running and your videos safe, but we do not promise that it will never be down or never lose anything. Keep your own copy of a video that matters: every video can be exported and downloaded in full quality.

Corgy changes as it is built. Features can be added, changed or removed. If we ever shut Corgy down, we will tell you by email at least 30 days ahead, so you can export your videos.

Closing an account

You can stop using Corgy at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to us. The privacy page says what is deleted and what has to be kept.

We may close an account that breaks these terms. Unless the reason is serious, such as illegal content or an attack on the service, we will warn you first and give you time to export your videos.

Liability

Corgy is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of the country you live in, and can bring a claim in its courts.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top moves with them. If a change affects you materially, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Using Corgy after that means you accept the new terms.
